BETA BROADCASTING SYSTEM, INC.
COMPANY PROFILE

BETA BROADCASTING SYSTEM, INCORPORATED (BBSI) was founded in 1968 by Engr. FELIPE R. LLANORA, as a single proprietorship. It started operating an AM Radio Station in Olongapo City with the call letters DWHL, with an output power of 1,000 watts using a locally assembled transmitter. In 1978, BBSI opened another station in Olongapo City, an FM Radio Station with call letters DWSL, initially with an output power of 1,000 watts using a locally assembled transmitter. Both stations to date are overwhelmingly listened to in their service areas offering news and information updates, public service announcements and musical entertainment.

BBSI was incorporated in 1989 registered with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Since it’s incorporation, BBSI has re-adopted as its Corporate Thrust to further its commitment of public service thru Responsible Broadcasting. It is on this premise that in 1991, BBSI set-up another radio station in Baguio City with the call letters DWSK, more popularly known as “K-Lite FM” with an output power of 5,000 watts primarily serving the City of Pines and the province of Benguet and extending to the neighboring provinces of Pangasinan, La Union, Tarlac, and also as far as Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya and Isabela.

In the future, BBSI is committed to pursue its Corporate Thrust by putting-up more FM and AM Stereo Radio Stations in key areas within the Philippines.
